Get out of the comfort zone

What makes our life? Security? To know exactly what can and cannot happen?

Almost four months ago we made the decision to travel. Since then, we have had to do and organize a lot. But most of all, we had to let go. We had to learn to let go.

WORK: It gives us a monthly income, which is so important for a regulated life. No income, no security, no credit, no housing.
But it also restricts us. No time, excessive demands, stress, anger, discussions, limited vacation planning.

HOUSING: It gives us a roof over our heads, an address, a home. But it also binds us with rent, ancillary expenses and a lack of flexibility.

FURNITURE: What can we sell without feeling that something is missing? A lot? Still more? Actually everything!

We have left our comfort zone and separated from many things. And? We're doing very well. We feel free. Thanks to Oma (grandma) and Opa (grandpa) all our things, which have a sentimental value for us, have found a shelter. We’re not missing anything! Who misses his tumble dryer when he goes on an expedition on the other side of the world?
